Raffle Tickets Artwork Guide

Creating artwork from scratch can be tricky; so we’ve complied a useful Artwork Guide for your perusal! Check out our handy Do’s and Don’t’s list to make sure you create your very best artwork. Or, if you’d prefer to leave it to the graphic designers, you can take a look at our Artwork Design Services.

Do:

  • Take advantage of the space and consider printing double sided. If you’re going to have information or images on both sides don’t forget to create two designs – one for the front (with a template for the unique number) and one for the back (perhaps with some additional information about the cause or company?)
  • Remember with your design, front or back, there will be a perforated tear off stub! Make sure your design will not be compromised when this happens!
  • Check out our Templates page for a head start! Simply download the appropriate size and get designing immediately. All templates are free!
  • Make sure you set your canvas to the correct dimensions and set your resolution to 300dpi. This will prevent low-quality pixelated printing. This is especially important if you’re not using one of our templates.
  • Make sure to include a 3mm bleed area around all four sides of your design, should your raffle ticket include colour or images. This will ensure that any design elements that are meant to reach the edge of the ticket, stay that way during print.
  • If you’re using design software, make sure it is set to CMYK mode, rather than RGB mode to ensure your colour will be as pictured upon printing.
  • Save your design as a high-resolution PDF and include crop marks to ensure the safety zone of your raffle tickets.
  • Embed or outline your fonts (which will prevent any fonts being replaced by default options by accident).

Don't:

  • Forget to proofread! Once it’s sent off, what’s created is printed, so make sure you are totally happy with the artwork, layout, spelling and grammar.
  • Put any important design elements like text or images within 3mm of the border of the design. Make sure they are at least 3mm from the edge to ensure a safety zone when printing.
  • Forget to upload or send! You can upload your file at the shopping cart page or alternatively you can email them to us. Should you have difficulty with large files you can send via WeTransfer, Google Drive or Dropbox.
